About the book
Histoire des chants – Tome I
The choir of the Celestial Church of Christ was born in February 1950 in Abidjan, a work of the Holy Spirit through Papa Nathaniel A. YANSUNNU, the Church's first Senior Evangelist, and his children. He wrote down words and music, and translated from Gun into French and Yoruba almost all the revealed and adopted hymns.
Called back to God on 13 September 1970 in Cotonou, he left a heritage that Prophet OSCHOFFA asked the author, his son, to bring out of oblivion. This book tells its story: the origin of the hymns, the birth of the chorus and choir, and the drifts born of ignorance of that history.
A working document for choirs and for all who want to sing the celestial hymns in their original spiritual and musical sense.
